Growing in Faith, Shining in Talent

The students in the Diocese of Rockville Centre are growing in faith while sharing their God-given talents in meaningful and inspiring ways. From prayerful traditions to creative expression, each school community reflects the beauty of faith lived out daily. These moments highlight how faith and talent come together to form hearts, minds, and spirits rooted in purpose.

Students at Holy Angels Regional School in Patchogue came together for a beautiful school-wide project celebrating both faith and creativity. Each student designed a canvas tile inspired by a faith-based theme, including saints, virtues, sacraments, the Beatitudes, scripture, and symbols of the faith. When assembled, the tiles formed a meaningful display that reflects the unity, faith, and unique talents of the entire school community.

Our Lady of Peace School in Lynbrook was honored to welcome Fr. Matt Browne, Bishop’s Delegate for the Department of Education, to celebrate a Lenten Mass. His visit reflected the deep faith that strengthens the school community and guides students throughout the Lenten season. Moments like these highlight how faith and talent are nurtured together, inspiring students to grow spiritually and share their gifts with others.

The talented students at St. Aidan School in Williston Park brought The Addams Family Musical to the stage in Monsignor Kirwin Hall. Their performance showcased creativity, confidence, and a wonderful sense of fun. This lively production highlighted the wonderful talent nurtured within the school community, delighting all who attended. Through their efforts, students beautifully demonstrated how talent can be used to bring joy and build community.

A cherished Holy Week tradition at St. Brigid/Our Lady of Hope Regional School in Westbury brings faith to life through the sixth-grade Passion Play. Under the guidance of Father John, students thoughtfully led the school community on a moving journey from the Last Supper to the Agony in the Garden and ultimately to the Crucifixion. This powerful witness of faith and talent invites all to reflect deeply and prepare their hearts for the holiest days of the Church year.

Fifth graders at St. Mary’s Elementary School in Manhasset prayerfully brought the journey of Jesus to life through their beautiful presentation of the Living Stations of the Cross. With reverence, courage, and deep reflection, they led the school community in this powerful Lenten tradition, highlighting the true meaning of the season. Their heartfelt witness reflects both faith and talent, inspiring all who experienced this meaningful presentation.

Trinity Regional School in East Northport presented its production of Frozen Jr., featuring students in grades 4-8. The performance showcased the incredible talent, dedication, and teamwork of both cast and crew. With more than 550 attendees over two days, the show was a joyful celebration of faith, talent, and strong community spirit.
