Run For Tomorrow's Hope

Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation is excited to announce the 11th Annual Run for Tomorrow’s Hope on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at St. Joseph School in Garden City. The 1-mile Fun Run begins at 8:30 AM, and the 5K begins at 9:00 AM, rain or shine! This beloved community event brings together runners, families, school spirit, and a shared commitment to support Catholic education.

We are also pleased to share an exciting leadership update. Dr. Michael Spinelli, who has expertly led the run since its inception in 2016, will continue to serve as Co-Chair of the event. Under his leadership and with the support of our incredible community, the run has now raised over $220,000 since it began, with last year marking a record-breaking event. This year, Robert Fioravanti, a Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation board member and St. Joseph School parent, will serve as Run Director. We are grateful to both for their leadership in making this year a success.

Proceeds will benefit Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation, which provides vital financial assistance to help ensure children across Long Island have access to a quality Catholic education.

Participants of all ages and skill levels are welcome. Whether you're a seasoned runner chasing a personal best or a family looking for a fun and meaningful morning together, there’s something for everyone. Sponsorship opportunities and registration are now open. We hope you’ll join us!

Swinging For Scholarships Golf Outing

What a spectacular day we had for our 20th Annual Swinging for Scholarships Golf Outing on Tuesday, September 9th at Meadow Brook Club in Jericho! The weather could not have been better, our golfers had a wonderful time, and most importantly, the outing was a record-breaking success.

Together, we raised an incredible $450,660, surpassing not only our ambitious goal of $400,000 but also far exceeding our original target of $350,000. This makes it the most successful golf outing in Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation’s history!

A heartfelt thank you to Dennis Harrington, 2025 Golf Honoree; Father Matt Browne, the Bishop’s delegate to the Department of Education; Frank Liantonio and Michael McCarthy, Golf Committee Co-Chairs; Peggy York, Golf Committee Member; Aarya Singh, STAR Speaker; the 2025 THF Golf Committee; and all of our generous Swinging for Scholarships sponsors!

Reaching this milestone in the 20th anniversary year of the outing is especially meaningful, a true testament to the strength of this community and the life-changing impact we are making together. We are profoundly grateful for your generosity and unwavering support. This record-breaking success was only possible because of you!

A Christmas Evening

Thank you to all who joined us for Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation’s A Christmas Evening on Tuesday, December 9th at the Columbus Citizens Foundation in New York City. It was a beautiful night filled with faith, fellowship, and the shared commitment to ensuring a bright future for Catholic education across Long Island.

The evening began with a heartfelt invocation from the Bishop of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, John O. Barres, setting a thoughtful and prayerful tone for the celebration. Event Co-Chair and 2021 Honoree Joseph Tarantino warmly welcomed guests and introduced this year’s honorees, Theresa and Austin Lotito, who graciously accepted the 2025 Advent Star Award. Their unwavering generosity, leadership, and dedication to Catholic education embody the very spirit of the Advent season.

We were also honored to hear from Peggy York, newly appointed Vice Chair of Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation, who presented a special video unveiling the public launch of our campaign, Generations of Hope. This campaign is designed to strengthen the future of Catholic elementary education by expanding scholarships and ensuring every child, today and for generations to come, has access to a safe, faith-filled, high-quality education.

We are grateful to share that the evening raised over $225,000, and counting. This remarkable outpouring of support will help ease the financial burden on families and sustain Catholic schools, opening doors of opportunity for more students in the year ahead and well into the future.
