This month, we celebrate faith, achievement, and community across our Catholic schools. From Catholic Schools Week open houses and high school acceptances to honor rolls, family events, and Monday morning gatherings, see how our Catholic schools are starting the year strong.
Monday mornings are full of energy and connection at Holy Child Academy in Old Westbury.

Students pair across grade levels to share heartfelt conversations, sparking new friendships through dancing, singing, prayer, and the Pledge of Allegiance. Holy Child Monday Meetings aren’t just assemblies; they are meaningful moments that inspire and unite the school community.

Congratulations to the sixth-grade students at St. Dominic Elementary School in Oyster Bay who earned Honor Roll for Trimester I. Their hard work, focus, and dedication to academic excellence reflect the strong foundation being built each day in our Catholic schools. We are proud to celebrate these students and the supportive school community that helps them succeed.
Each month at Holy Name of Mary School in Valley Stream, three students in each grade are

honored with the “Beacon of Light Award”. This award recognizes students of exemplary character who radiate Christ’s light through their kindness, helpfulness, and positive influence on their peers, contributing to the welcoming and joyful spirit of the school community.

The St. Joseph School Family Association in Garden City recently sponsored a father-daughter dance that was truly “out of this world”. Throughout the school year, the Family Association organizes and leads a variety of fundraisers and “fun-raisers” for the enjoyment of the entire school community. Their efforts help strengthen connections and build lasting memories for students and families alike.
The Class of 2026 at St. Mary School in East Islip is moving

forward with excitement as they receive their Catholic high school acceptances. These hard-working eighth graders will continue their faith-filled education at Chaminade High School, Kellenberg Memorial High School, Sacred Heart Academy, St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School, and St. Anthony’s High School this September. Their achievements reflect the strong foundation and bright future fostered by Catholic education.

Every corner of St. Patrick School in Bay Shore reflects a call to holiness, alive with joy, growth, and the promise of future saints. These “Shamrocks” are proud to share the faith-filled spirit that defines their school community. They look forward to welcoming prospective families at their Catholic Schools Week Open House.
Today's children are Tomorrow's Hope!!
