Celebrating Faith Across Our Catholic Schools
October is a special time for Catholic elementary schools across Long Island as students celebrate their faith through prayer, service, and meaningful traditions. During the Month of the Holy Rosary, students participate in Rosary rallies, school Masses, blessings, and activities that deepen their relationship with God. We are proud to highlight how our Catholic schools inspire students to live their faith, strengthen their communities, and carry the values of kindness, compassion, and service beyond the classroom.
In honor of the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, sixth-grade students at Holy Family School in

Hicksville gathered in the chapel with Miss Winsch during religion class to pray the Rosary. This special time of prayer encouraged students to deepen their devotion to the Blessed Mother, reflect on their faith, and recognize the importance of prayer in their daily lives.

Our Lady of Guadalupe School in Deer Park celebrated the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi with a special Blessing of the Animals. Filled with barks, meows, and plenty of smiles, the beautiful service brought students and their beloved pets together in prayer and gratitude for God's creation. It was a meaningful reminder to care for and appreciate all of God's creatures.
The St. Aidan School community in Williston Park came together in faith for First Friday Mass,

beautifully led by the school's seventh-grade students. During the celebration, Father Bissex reflected on the Memorial of the Holy Guardian Angels, reminding students of God's constant love, guidance, and protection. This special gathering offered students an opportunity to strengthen their faith through prayer and worship while reflecting on God's presence.

Fifth-grade students at St. Brigid/Our Lady of Hope Regional School in Westbury marked a special milestone as they entered The Anchor, the school's program for grades 5 through 8. During a Blessing of the Bibles ceremony, Father Sureau blessed and presented each student with a Bible of their own. Students are encouraged to turn to Scripture throughout their lives as a source of wisdom, comfort, and inspiration.
The St. Martin de Porres Marianist School community in Uniondale came together for a special

Rosary Rally, joining millions of children worldwide in praying for unity and peace. The celebration continued with the school's inaugural Elementary Faith Day, where students in grades 2 through 5 enjoyed Rosary crafts, games, an escape room, and STEM activities. The day was a beautiful reminder of the power of prayer, growing in faith, and coming together as one school family.

Kindergarten students at Trinity Regional School in East Northport learned about the special role of Guardian Angels in the Catholic faith. Through their lesson, students discovered how God sends angels to watch over, protect, and guide us throughout our lives. This introduction to Guardian Angels helped these young learners better understand God's love and care, while reminding them that they are never alone and can find comfort in knowing He is always watching over them.
Today's children are Tomorrow's Hope!
