Throughout our Catholic schools in the Diocese of Rockville Centre, students are embracing opportunities that strengthen both their faith and academic growth. From celebrating the sacraments to achieving excellence, these moments reflect the mission of Catholic education to nurture the whole child. We proudly recognize the students, families, and educators who help build communities rooted in faith, learning, and service.

Holy Family School in Hicksville proudly celebrates all the students who participated in this year’s Math Bee competition. Their enthusiasm for learning and willingness to challenge themselves highlight the vibrant academic spirit found throughout the school community. Events like the Math Bee encourage students to use their God-given talents while building perseverance and confidence.

Holy Name of Mary School in Valley Stream joyfully celebrated its second grade students at the traditional Communion Breakfast honoring their First Holy Communion. Students and families gathered in faith and fellowship to share a special meal and commemorate this meaningful milestone in their spiritual journey. The celebration reflected the strong partnership between home, school, and parish in nurturing both the faith life and growth of each child.

Maria Regina School in Seaford proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of the
Aquinas Team at the Aquinas Expo held at Holy Trinity High School. Demonstrating creativity, collaboration, and academic excellence, the team earned top three placements in every individual category and was also honored with the prestigious “Student Choice” Award. Their success reflects the dedication of the students and the school’s commitment to inspiring innovation, leadership, and lifelong learning.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School in Deer Park celebrated a beautiful and faith-filled day as students received their First Holy Communion. Heartfelt gratitude goes out to Fr. Anthony for leading the meaningful liturgy, and to Mrs. Bonilla and Mrs. Ugalde for their dedication and guidance in preparing the students for this special sacrament. This memorable occasion reflected the joy of faith, the strength of community, and the importance of spiritual formation in the lives of the students.
Students in grades three through five at Our Lady of Lourdes School in Malverne enjoyed an

engaging and educational Career Day experience as they explored a wide variety of professions. From a prosecutor and school librarian to a speech pathologist, NYPD lieutenant, and medical professionals, students gained valuable insight into the many paths their futures may hold. The event encouraged curiosity, inspired academic growth, and highlighted the importance of using one’s talents and education to serve others.

Rooted in faith and strengthened by the Holy Spirit, the eighth-grade students at St. Patrick’s School in Huntington proudly received the Sacrament of Confirmation this spring. This important milestone reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing both the spiritual growth and academic development of its students. As they continue their educational journey, these young men and women are guided by faith, knowledge, and a deep sense of purpose.
