Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation Launches Partnership with Catholic Health

Health Care system to provide tuition aid to Catholic elementary students

Uniondale, N.Y. — For immediate release — Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports Long Island’s Catholic elementary students and schools with tuition aid and resources, is excited to announce a partnership with Catholic Health, Long Island’s major health care system, to establish a need-based scholarship program called Catholic Health Scholars.

Through a generous, multi-year gift of $125,000 made to Tomorrow’s Hope, the Catholic Health Scholars program will grant seven financially disadvantaged students with the maximum tuition assistance award of $3,500 each year to attend Catholic elementary School on Long Island. Catholic Health’s investment will help Tomorrow’s Hope expand its efforts and broaden its impact so that more children have access to an excellent Catholic education.

“Since Catholic health care and Catholic education come out of the heart of the Church, Catholic Health is very proud to support Catholic elementary schools on Long Island, especially in assisting financially disadvantaged students. Our shared mission of bringing Christ’s truth and healing is realized in caring for the whole person: body, mind, and soul. We, at Catholic Health, celebrate our Catholic schools in its strong commitment to Gospel values and academic excellence,” said Catholic Health Senior Vice President for Mission Integration Father Kevin Creagh, CM.

Ismini Scouras, Executive Director of Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation concurred. “With our values aligned as organizations with a Catholic identity, this partnership is meaningful and strengthens our commitment to the Catholic social mission of improving the lives of people on Long Island. Funding from Catholic Health will change the lives of not just our students but their families as well by breaking the cycle of poverty that many endure generation after generation.”
