Dear Friend of Tomorrow's Hope,
Each school year provides so many opportunities to teach the beauties of the liturgical seasons. The dreams and expectations of Christmas end the first trimester, while the triumphs and hope surrounding the Resurrection are the highlights of the spring season. This is that special time when we truly rejoice and are filled with the gifts of Easter life and the promise of tremendous joy!
Having been a part of the Catholic education system on Long Island for more than fifty years, I have been privileged to watch the development of so many faith-filled schools where dedicated educators partner with families to provide a strong framework of academic, athletic, and aesthetic development all centering around our Catholic faith and traditions. The sacrifices made by administrators, teachers, and parents are unbelievable and are driven by that Easter hope!
When the first Catholic schools were established more than a century ago, the mission of the Church was to provide for the continuation and growth of the faith through parish elementary schools. At that time, there was no cost to parents since the schools were staffed by religious men and women. That mission - faith formation of our young people - remains the same but today, economics and the lack of religious vocations have necessitated a tuition fee that is often out of reach for our families.
Thanks to the vision and commitment of the founders of Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation, the efforts to make Catholic elementary education possible for families in need remain alive and strong.
Partial tuition assistance for applicants has changed the lives of thousands of young people here on Long Island. The dynamic demographics of our area make us realize that our Church needs well-prepared, faith-imbued young people for its mission to continue and thrive.
On behalf of Catholic school educators, I ask that you consider making a gift to this Easter appeal for Tomorrow’s Hope by clicking here. You can also make a gift by check, indicate the intention of your gift in the memo, “Easter Appeal,” and mail to 50 Charles Lindbergh Blvd., Suite 500, Uniondale, NY 11553. Celebrating the joy of Jesus’ Resurrection and the hope that this brings is a reminder that our Catholic schools are here to teach the faith and train those young vibrant minds to live the Gospel and minister to future generations “as Jesus taught” them. Your gift is more than a check; it is an affirmation of your belief in the future leaders of our Church! In return, you will have the prayers of a grateful generation of young people who truly are Tomorrow’s Hope!
Thank you. May the risen Lord continue to bless you with His peace, especially during this holy season!
Sister Kathryn Schlueter, CSJ
Principal, Our Lady of the Hamptons Regional Catholic School
PS: As you celebrate this Easter season, please prayerfully consider making a gift to Tomorrow’s Hope and help change the life of a child in need.
